Windsock Aviation is a local Pee Dee company that offers aircraft for rent
or instruction. We currently operate a Cessna 172N aircraft with updated
avionics including a Garmin 430 GPS, MX300 Digital #2 Nav/Com radio, Garmin
audio panel, and Garmin digital Mode C transponder.
Our aircraft is maintained to FAR requirements for aircraft used for rental
purposes or instruction thru the Instrument Rating. Our current plane
is based at the Florence Regional
Airport (KFLO) at the General Aviation
ramp. We are not part of Florence General Aviation but they are great
people who fuel and service our plane as needed. If you are already a
licensed pilot that has met our requirements, flying with us is almost like
owning your own plane.

We can recommend fully qualified instructors who work with a first time beginner through
advanced ratings goals. These instructors love to fly and it shows.
We strive to keep costs low and are the lowest cost provider for an airplane
of this type and compliment of electronics. We operate all office
functions via email and the web, again keeping costs down, and even utilize
the web for all aircraft scheduling. An approved pilot or student can
see the full flight schedule and pick a convenient flight time without having
to call someone and make an appointment.
